The NHC is monitoring Area of Interest 1 in the Gulf of Mexico. The system currently has a near-zero percent chance of formation across three days, and 50% chance across seven days.
The EURO does not develop this low, and the GFS currently only develops it as a low:

The only reason for this post is that I have seen weather sources hype up that another storm is brewing in the Gulf, and at the present time, that is simply not true.
If a system develops, there will be plenty of time to prepare. And statistically it is likely not to be a particularly strong system.
That said, I am keeping an eye on things.
