Got a new shirt! I hope you like it. I do. Sheer coincidence that I’d worn the yellow shorts, but they go well. Fun stuff. 
But yeah. I lost my job today. So hey, if you know of someone who needs a geeky tech guy working remotely, please let me know. For this job, I was working in Excel. I can do formulas. I was doing the scheduling roll call as well as some other administrative stuff. I set up some Microsoft Lists to basically be a ticket system to track requests and tasks - allowing people to fill out a form for things like meeting requests and track progress on setting that stuff up. I’d like to do more of that sort of thing.
I also have a tech background. I’ve been on the internet since 1994 (BBSes since 1987), designing websites in 1996, hosting websites in 1997 with my own dedicated server since 2002. I’ve done helpdesk and tech support, although it’s been a little bit since the former. But I’ve done Microsoft Office administration (i.e. Office365) and related admin type stuff.
I would be a perfect fit for a business that could use a geeky tech guy to help with administration; to support employees in using tech; to help set up and administer systems to help processes get tracked and done.
I’d appreciate any and all leads. I must work remotely because of the dialysis, and that does take up much of my Tue/Thu/Sat, meaning I’d have to be part time Mon/Wed/Fri, or at least flex on the hours as I’d be available around 3pm Tue/Thu/Sat (and could work up to 10 hours Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun - so with flexible hours I could make 40 or more).
Meanwhile, with the walking… I went ahead and called it with three laps. I want that to get a bit more confident before I take it up to four laps every time. I feel a bit insecure. But I’ll try it again in another couple of days, I think.
Also, since I am unemployed, I’m going to see if I can walk twice on the days I’m off from dialysis. I’ll do one daily post, so don’t worry about too many more posts. lol.
